After three weeks of being voiceless, Sam Smith can finally speak again!In April, Smith was forced to cancel his Australian tour after getting diagnosed with a hemorrhage on his vocal cords.
In May, things got worse for the "Stay With Me" singer when he was told he'd have to undergo vocal cord surgery.Smith was understandably nervous before the procedure that would cause him to temporarily lose the voice he's so famous for, and he shared his anxiety right before the surgery with a perfectly appropriate image of Ariel from The Little Mermaid having her voice magically removed.
On Wednesday, Smith celebrated his successful recovery, and the ability to once again grace the world with his dulcet tones.
And the good news doesn't end there. Smith also announced the new dates for his rescheduled Australia tour.
"From all the bad news has come some good news!! Not only am I coming back to make up for the cancelled shows but I get to play bloody arenas!!!!," Smith said in an Instagram photo that revealed the new dates. "So excited to sing for all of you and apologise personally for my bleeding throat xxxx."
