Photos: Artist creates bizarre FACE-ICLES by carving faces into tubs of ice cream complete with toppings as hair and lipstick

Asano Mkoto irrefutably wins the 'too much time on ones hands' award with this assemblage of frozen-faced designs carved from min-tubs of Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

An Instagram account showcasing the Japanese man's designs has more than 2,600 followers, and hundreds of snaps of his intricate ice-cream mugs.

Some images on his account show he experiments outside of his frozen forte also, fashioning bananas and mandarins into animated characters.

Mkoto's Instagram biography lists a mystifying justification for the frozen face campaign, which reportedly started in 2012.

'My hobby is making ice cream laugh. Please feel free to follow those who like ice cream.'
