The capital town of Maiduguri in Borno State has again been hit by an explosion as a female suicide bomber reportedly blew herself up at a fish market in the Baga area of the city.
The explosion is said to have occurred at about 4pm today, June 22, 2015 and is believed to have left many dead.
Usman Kaka, a local trader, told Sahara Reporters that 'many people have died and there are blood stains everywhere, I saw dead bodies in a police van.'
No official casualty figure has been released but officials on the scene have said that the death toll is expected to be high.
