Floyd Mayweather sitting on a gold throne
Mayweather embraced his ‘Money’ nickname with consummate ease and swagger as he celebrated his status as the highest paid athlete in the world over the last year.
The 38-year-old was photographed standing in front of a flash display at the Mob Museum with his arms out stretched in celebration after the boxer managed to earn an eye-watering $300 million (£210m) in one year.
Mayweather posed by the exhibition, fittingly titled ‘$300 Million Easy’, which was taken in the ‘skim room’, demonstrating where and how mobsters would steal some of the cash in a casino counting room.

He shared the photo on social-media site Shots and addressed a top financial magazine, saying, “Forbes, I’m just getting started this year.”
Forbes claimed that he picked up a staggering $100 million cheque on the night of his victory over Manny Pacquiao in what was branded the ‘Fight of the Century’ on May 2.
Oh, and that was reportedly even before his cut from the pay-per-view money was factored in.
In addition to his earnings from the Pacquiao bout and his fight with Marcos Maidana in September 2014, Mayweather earned an astonishing $285 million in the ring.
The boxer also supplemented his vast earnings with a further $15 million in endorsements.
