Okay, so we’ve decided to take a look at it from another angle. Sure, Mondays can be many different things. Words I’ve heard used recently include horrible, interesting, stressful and sleepy… Ouch. I’m sure you get the idea.
Really though, there are many different ways to look at the start of the week and all of those ways can be pretty positive…
Here are some reasons to change your perception of Mondays from now on. You never have to dread a Monday again!
1. It’s a fresh start and therefore, a chance to move onto something new and make it EVEN better than last week.
2. Well, you get to see lots of people you haven’t seen since Friday.
3. There’s usually coffee absolutely EVERYWHERE.
4. The commute to work. Yes, really. It’s time to yourself which can (usually) be had on the train, metro, tram or bus. This is something you might not have had a lot of over the weekend.
5. You probably watched a good movie, TV show and/or read an interesting book. Notes can be compared with friends and colleagues if they shared the same experience.
6. You can start planning next weekend. Honestly, there is always something to look forward to and often, this is chatted about on Monday morning.
7. Monday morning meetings… being productive will always make a day more worthwhile and meetings focused on achievements will create exactly that feeling.
8. Monday is the day we get to hear all the news, gossip and shenanigans from the weekend.
9. Things to be grateful for. And yes, there is something every other day too.
10. Relaxing Monday evenings… the best comedy shows are on, it’s time for a yoga class or it’s an early night for everyone in the house (sometimes, all of the above!)
11. We are one day closer to Friday.
12. It’s time to catch up on happy news stories from the weekend.
13. Happy and positive Monday blog posts from me
Can you think of any other reasons to love Mondays?
