Mariah Carey slams ‘American Idol,' calls it ‘boring’ and ‘fake’

Mariah Carey popped off to an Australian radio show on Thursday, calling "American Idol" "the worst experience of my life."

"It's so boring and so fake… you have to make up things to say about people. Half the time the performances are good, you just be like 'It was good' and you feel like ending it there," she said, according to Huffington Post.

Asked if she would return to the show if asked back for the finale, Carey spat, "Hell no. Absolutely not."

During her run on the judge's panel in 2013, the 45-year-old singer often clashed with rapper and fellow judge Nicki Minaj.

In fact, things got so heated, Minaj once allegedly threatened to shoot Carey, according to reports at the time.
