Arsenal fan writes to Queen asking for FA Cup final tickets, gets a reply

Charlie Pearce an Arsenal fan took his search for FA Cup final tickets by asking the Queen for help.

With tickets for the big game notoriously difficult to come by, Charlie thought his best shot was to ask for help from the Queen.

The Gunners are set to take on Aston Villa at Wembley on 30 May as Arsene Wenger’s men look to defend the title they won last season.

The Queen was not able to help out on this occasion, he was given a full reply from a Buckingham Palace representative.

The letter, written by one of the Queen’s correspondence officers, ended: “I am afraid that this is not a matter with which Her Majesty would be able to assist you. I am sorry to send you a disappointing reply.”

Arsenal head into next weekend’s clash after having wrapped up a third-place finish and a direct route into next season’s Champions League group stage.

The Gunners beat Hull City 3-2 after extra-time last May to win the FA Cup and their first piece of major silverware in nine years.
